Fresh Air in Palm Desert

Spending a day or two in Palm Desert, CA, when you live in Los Angeles, is like a breath of fresh air and a resourcing opportunity. The air feels pure and crisp. You feel the protection of the mountains all around, and the open sky dissolves all stressful thoughts.
I let myself be inspired by the beautiful landscapes, nature's colors and textures, and capture as much as I can with a camera. Then I try to reproduce those moments, finding them in fabrics, in furniture pieces, in various shapes and art - and bring them home to inspire again.

The desert landscape seems ancient and it takes you in mysteriously... Even though there is urban activity, you feel a deep sense of calm.

So let us bring together elements of these beautiful landscapes and create restful bedrooms...
A different one for each photograph.

To mirror the outdoor natural colors, I suggest using wallpaper to accent the wall behind the bed.

In the 1920's, this area of Southern California was named Palm Village because of all the date trees that were planted. Dates are among the oldest cultivated fruits in the world, and the ones that grow in Palm Desert come originally from the Middle East.

The expanse of sky and the presence of the mountains is grounding and relaxing.
The mix of sky and earth, cloud and stone - blues, whites, browns, greys, greens...
