Behind Closed French Doors

On my last trip to South of France, I loved looking for old rustic doors for their beauty and diversity. With this collection of doors, I would like to invite you take a pick inside,  open them with me and explore what's behind...

Let's take a walk in the small villages of Gassin, St Paul de Vence, Villeneuve les Avignons in Provence region, and discover colors, textures and memories.

As we open this antique wood door, right behind is a recluse garden and courtyard, inviting us to take a deep breathe and pause.

The village of Gassin is perched 200 meters above the Mediteranean sea, surrounded by ancient walls that date back from the 10th century. It has been nominated one of the most beautiful villages of France. As you walk around a maze of winding cobbled streets, one can enjoy unrivaled panoramic views of the coastline.

Rustic from the outside, contemporary and light from the inside. Let's take a pick...
