Magical Jacaranda Trees

I recently moved to Los Angeles, and everything is brand new.

This blog is about taking the time to enjoy nature, and discover ways to bring pieces of it inside, in our living spaces.
It fascinates me how colors exist together in the natural world, and I practice letting myself be inspired by nature.

In Southern California right now, there is this explosion of purple blossoms that bring so   much light and joy. It’s from the Jacaranda Trees.  Their purple canopies are truly uplifting.
Can we bring it home...please??

It makes me want to lie down so that I can stare at this soft purple and get dreaming...

A purple ceiling might not be so practical, but what about some purple light fixtures, which when you look up remind us of the purple blossoms.

I love these light fixtures:
Mantra Lighting 2776 Misc 3 Light Pendant (Wayfair)

AF Lighting 8526 5 Light Mini Chandelier from Angelo Home Collection (Build.com)
Dreaming... on a comfy sofa with my head on a pillow...
Velvet Pied-A-Terre Sofa Wilcox (Anthropologie)

Jack Tuxedo Sofa (Houzz)

Bright Purple Paisley Chair Cushion (Tara Design)

Or lying down on a purple cloud...
World Menagerie Aanya hand knotted rug (Wayfair)

Safavieh Milan Shag Purple Rug (Overstock)
...while sipping a cup of tea :)
Konitz China Mugs (JC Penney)
Lenox French Pearl Violet Mug
Cast Iron Teapot Hanabi            (Real Recreation USA)

What if we painted the door, so that it opens into... a purple world?

Anything that will make those beautiful blossoms linger, and spring to stay!

The color purple is the combination of blue and red. It is associated with imagination and inspiration. In the body, it corresponds to the 7th chakra, or energy center, located at the crown of the head. This center connects us to the universal source.
Amethyst is a violet crystal quartz whose properties can heal, protect, and neutralize negative energies.
It can be worn or placed in your home, as a reminder of universal benevolent protection and guidance - as it catches the sunlight.
